An original 1948 Mint set includes 2 examples for each coin issued by both the Philadelphia, Denver & San Francisco Mints. There were no S Mint Franklin Halves issued this year. The complete set contains 28 coins total. The set is in original packaging as issued by the United States Mint except that the outer envelope is a well done reproduction of the original. This set does contain the original cardboard coin holders and paper wrapping as issued. All coins show signs of toning that is common in these sets as the mint packaging was not of the archival quality of today. This is the actual set that you will receive.
